She teams up with a veteran reporter to track down the murderer, as she attempts to understand her ever-shifting present and past. Kirby soon learns that a woman was recently murdered in the same way she was assaulted, with the death seemingly the work of a serial killer. It's unclear whether these reality shifts (such as her hair being a different length, or having a dog rather than a cat) are caused by Kirby's internal trauma, or if there's a time-travel sci-fi element to the show. The show follows Kirby (Moss) who’s trying to cope with a constantly shifting reality following a brutal attack six years ago.
